WELCOME to the berry farm, a festival dedicated to fanworks for our beloved berryberries na jaemin and park jisung!

nothing is better in summer than berries picked fresh from the farm, and all sorts of incredible sweets are made with them in the seasons that follow! in that same way, the mods hope the farm will be a welcoming place for writers and artists who are interested in exploring the unique and special relationship between jaemin and jisung, and we can’t wait to see what wonderful works you cook up!

the head farmers around these parts are mod 🍓 (she/they) and mod 🫐 (she/her). we both adore jaemsung and we’re so excited to host everyone here at the berry farm!

this fest is for jaemsung, meaning all prompts and submissions must feature jaemin and jisung as a pair. side ships and polyamorous ships are allowed, but the fic must center on the relationship between or including jaemin and jisung.the minimum word count for participation in the fest is 1,000 words.creators, please do your best to remain anonymous until reveals!

content of any rating is allowed, and dead dove tropes are allowed as well, so long as the work is properly tagged. after much discussion between the mods, the only content bans in this fest will be noncon and pedophilia. minors are not allowed to submit any explicit or nsfw prompts, fics, or artwork. the farm is a community, and communities take care of each other during festivals—writers and artists, please place appropriate tags and content warnings on your work, and readers, please do not engage with fics featuring tags for content you should not or do not wish to read.this is an ot22 fest. this point is not negotiable. prompts or submissions including lucas will not be allowed.

prompts for this fest will be collected using the “prompt meme” function on archive of our own (ao3). prompts can be submitted anonymously, but you will need an ao3 account in order to submit a prompt. prompters can submit as many prompts as they like. the moderators will provide more information about this process in a tutorial!after you claim a prompt on ao3, you will need to fill in a google form to confirm the prompt you claimed and officially sign up for the fest. the mods have no way to know that you are participating in the fest or that you have claimed a prompt unless you fill out the accompanying google form. please, please remember to fill it out after claiming.self-prompts are allowed, and they will also be submitted through the prompt meme. please just submit your self-prompt like you would any other prompt, but remember to clearly mark in the prompt description that it is a self-prompt so that others won’t claim it. you can claim your own prompt once claiming begins. again, community respect rules the roost around the farm—please do not claim a prompt labeled as self-prompted that you did not submit.

  • chaptered works are allowed! as long as it meets the minimum word count, it is fine to submit just the first chapter for participation in this fest.

  • you are allowed to claim more than one prompt, but out of fairness to other farm guests and/or sweets makers (aka, writers), please only claim one prompt at a time. if you decide to abandon your first prompt, or if you complete your first prompt-based fic with time still remaining in the fest, you are welcome to claim a second or successive prompt. if you wish to claim a different prompt after losing interest in the first, please be sure to also drop your first claim on ao3. you do not need to submit another google form for the second prompt you claim, please just claim the prompt on ao3 and proceed from there!

  • there will be two check-ins, but you are not required to submit portions of your fic for either! the check-in will ask you to let the mods know your word count, but the purpose of this is not the number of words. we simply want to know whether you’re still making progress or are considering dropping out.

  • life happens, we understand; if you need to leave the farm and drop out of the festival, please either dm or email us and drop your claim on ao3. likewise, if you need an extension, please either email us or dm us and let us know! all we ask is that you please communicate with us and keep us in the loop.

  • fanartists do not need to draw based on a prompt. please just sign up using the fanart submission form that will be provided. fanart will be approved at the discretion of the moderators.

  • since writers spend significant time and energy to participate in festivals like this one, they will have the final say with regards to interpreting prompts. so long as their completed fic substantially complies with the overall theme or idea of the prompt, it will be “ripe” for posting. ;)
